Designated Drinker Show

THE OPPORTUNITY:

The “cocktail enthusiast” market is exploding, and they are looking for an expert resource to help them learn more about spirits and hone their home bartending skills.

OUR EXECUTION:

So, we created the Designated Drinker Show—a show where our audience meets interesting folks, enjoys boozy banter and learns how to craft cocktails from a master.

 

Between Acts

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Life can be tough and everyone longs to escape reality from time-to-time. A great theatrical performance can sweep you away and drown out the noise of the day which makes for the perfect guilty pleasure.

OUR EXECUTION: 

Great storytelling can be magical, so we brought to life Between Acts—an immersive audio theatre podcast experience. Each episode takes you on a spellbinding theatrical journey—from dramas to comedies and everything in between.

Rodger That Show

THE OPPORTUNITY:

In the United States, more than 40,000 people are diagnosed with dementia every month and caregivers are looking for help. They are desperate for guidance through the maze of emotions and a space of uncertainty. They need honest answers, insights from experts and tools to help them cope.

OUR EXECUTION: 

We created The Rodger That Show—a show where skilled caregivers and industry thought-leaders offer their personal and practical insights on caring for a loved one with dementia, as well as tips to help caregivers prioritize their own health and mental well-being.

CAMPAIGNS & BRAND BUILDING

 

Meineke Car Care Center

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Re-brand a legacy brand to elevated it from micro-focused limited service muffler shops to a full-service auto care company.

OUR EXECUTION:

This campaign is an oldie but we still think she’s a goodie. Two of our Missing Link creative team members worked on the rebranding of Meineke Muffler to Meineke Car Care Center many moons ago. So why is it here? Because we believe strong ideas should withstand the test of time. This cheeky campaign was able to quickly, and simply, speak to many of the services Meineke offered, and used a bit of humor to make it stick. This campaign was so well received, it was “borrowed” by another quick auto repair company . . . so we’ll just have to agree, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Mobi PCS

THE OPPORTUNITY:

To launch a home-grown cellular company to a market that didn’t know they needed it—or trusted it—which made this a true “David and Goliath” brand story.

 OUR EXECUTION:

From birthing the brand strategy to crafting the brand voice and visual language to developing the customer in-store experience, bringing Mobi PCS to life was an opportunity to work closely on all consumer touch points. Alllooohha!

IBRANCE: Case Study

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Build awareness about a disease NO ONE wants to talk about and offer support to those who are facing it.

OUR EXECUTION:

Two of our ML team members worked on this first-of-its-kind metastatic breast cancer drug’s multi-year awareness building campaign. By first gaining a true appreciation for the emotional needs of those who receive this devastating diagnosis, they were able to build an ecosystem that supported the multi-faceted needs for women living with metastatic breast cancer.

Jonah’s Treehouse

THE OPPORTUNITY:

The rebranding of Jonah's Treehouse was nothing but fun.  Well...and a lot of research. Getting in the minds of mothers and caretakers was a rather interesting journey.  The outcome was cute, yet smart and strategic. But it is pretty damn cute, huh?

OUR EXECUTION:

The logo and more. Of course, the logo redesign was a part of the rebranding plan but it went far beyond just that. Building upon the existing class structure, a character was developed to represent each age bracket which helped parents to easily manage their children's schedule. But of course, their main job was to give the kids someone not to just connect with, but to also fall in love with.

Meet the whole gang: Kimmie the Koala, Ernest the Elephant, Leo the Lion, Zoey the Zebra and Georgie the Giraffe.

Nature Conservancy

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Rally their environmentally conscious base and inform the general public of the Nature Conservancy’s efforts to save our beautiful spaces.

OUR EXECUTION:

Having the opportunity to work on such an amazing client like Nature Conservancy was an honor. We had little (or no budget) to work with, so we cashed in some of our favors to work with a very talent photographer who knew the area, was passionate about the cause, and could capture beautiful imagery of actual land that could tell the story of the Nature Conservancy mission.

Copy: Nothing. The way the bald eagle, the river otter, the bluehead shiner fish, and hundreds of other rare plant and animal species will always live here. Today. And tomorrow. And forever. Together, we’re saving the last great places.

Copy: Will never be built here. So this can remain the home of hundreds of rare plant and animal species. Like the red-shouldered hawk and the royal fern. Today. And a hundred years from today. Together, we're saving the last great places.

Headline: Future Home

Copy: Of nesting grasshopper sparrows. And sunflowers. And Indian paintbrush. In fact, hundreds of rare plant and animal species live here. And with our help, it will always be that way. Together, we’re saving the last great places.

 

The Watermark

THE OPPORTUNITY:

The rebranding of The Watermark included an in-flight spot that was also converted for the site opener. Yeah, remember those? It was an experimental exercise completely executed using still photography. Talk about a fun photo shoot.

OUR EXECUTION:

To create the feeling of living Aloha at The Watermark. It’s more than just an address, it’s where you live your best life, everyday. Where your passions can be realized and yours dreams come to life.

Re-skinning an existing site to match the rebranding--not ideal but the budget didn't allow us to start from scratch. As Tim Gunn would say, "Make it work!"

Which we also did in print. Not something we do too much of these days but we can if the strategy called for it.

The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) funds hundreds of projects focused on discovering how the brain works and how it develops. We created a series of content videos for both the NIMH website and their social media channel to help educate the public about their work.


ASAE Every Day. Everywhere. Every Way American associations shape this country's landscape, person-by-person, day-by-day, town-by-town. This is the first leg of an epic journey of impact, from New York's sunlit skyline to thundering Texas thrills. For the 2014 ASAE annual conference we drove for almost a month across 26 states to interview and film 30 association members which is the basis of this two-part 30-minute documentary about associations.


Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation Dare to Dream For the team’s 2016 annual charity gala we had the opportunity to create an opening video focusing on how the team’s players interact with the community to help level the playing field for kids in the community.


Easterseals Advocacy Awards, Hope at the Crossroads The Advocacy Awards brings together leaders in business, government relations, and professional services as well as military and government dignitaries to support vital Easterseals programs and services. For several years we produced and edited video content for their annual awards gala that highlighted those in need whom Easterseals DC|MD|VA had assisted.


Biodiesel Clean Cities Produced and Co-directed this national TV commercial promoting the use of biodiesel for the National Biodiesel Board. This was the first of five broadcast commercials that we created for NBB, which was filmed in Dallas, Texas.


 

ANIMATION

 
 

NECA 2018 Academy: For their 50th anniversary, the National Electrical Contractor Association’s Academy honored leaders in their industry at the Ben Franklin Museum in Philadelphia. We created an original vertical 3D-mapped presentation that was projected on the columns in the Ben Franklin Museum in Philadelphia, PA.


Choice Hotels - 'Choice Privileges': The Choice Hotels affinity program was being relaunched and Choice selected us to create 9 animations in various lengths to use on their website and social media channels.


Department of Transportation We Are FMCSA: FMCSA's mission is to reduce crashes, injuries, and fatalities involving large trucks and buses. Produced and directed this informational content for the US Dept. of Transportation in 2017.


CAMX Conference Promotion: The American Composites Manufacturers Association asked us to create video marketing content for their 2020 CAMX conference. Three separate 60-second animations were edited and scored using client supplied footage.
